Practice Teams:
William Chaltraw practices in the areas of health care law, corporate law, real estate and general business transactions. He advises physicians, medical groups, hospitals, health systems, and other health care providers organizations in business, regulatory and medico-legal matters, with an emphasis on laws relating to operational issues, including Federal and State fraud and abuse compliance, payment and reimbursement (Medicare, Medi-Cal, and private payor), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, design and implementation of compliance programs, peer review, licensing and accreditation issues, and related policies and procedures.
William also regularly assists business clients with entity planning and formation, secured loan transactions, and purchase and sale agreements. He is also experienced in loan workouts and real property transactions.
Prior to joining Fishman, Larsen, Goldring & Zeitler, William was an associate with the law firm of Baker, Manock & Jensen, where he practiced in the areas of health care law, corporate law, real estate, agribusiness, intellectual property, and general business transactions.
William is an active member of a number of health care law organizations, including American Health Lawyers Association, Health Care Compliance Association, California Society for Health Care Attorneys, Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Fresno County Bar Association, and the Health Law, Business Law, and Real Estate Sections of the American Bar Association.
William is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Fresno-Madera Chapter of the American Red Cross and a member and past-president of the Shakers of Community Medical Foundation.

William spends as much time as possible with his wife Leslie and their young daughter Kate. He loves Major League Baseball and intercollegiate sports and he closely follows the fortunes of his beloved University of California Los Angeles Bruins. He also loves to read and is always happy enjoying the works of Charles Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, works of historical fiction, or non-fictional or biographical stories of American history. William recently uncovered a passion for sailing and plans to take lessons to achieve American Sailing Association certification and sail the high seas!
